Medianet Lab released as an OpenSource project the SNMP active monitoring framework (SAM) source code. The development is currently undergo in the frame of ICT-ALICANTE FP7 Project. You can find out more here. The current implementation is based on One-Way Ping [link] and NET-SNMP [link] OpenSource projects.
